an autumn to-do list.

~ Not sponsored ~

With many people finally accepting the fact that the autumnal season is yet upon us and it's finally socially acceptable to talk about fall we're gonna do just that today! If you're just as "OCD" as I am, you've most likely made seasonal to-do lists or bucket lists. Today I'm sharing mine!

This post was inspired by this post, full credit for the idea goes to them.

Get a plaid to cosy up with ~ What's more autumnal than a great, chunky knit plaid? The season is all about being cosy and comfy af, and what better way to get cosy then with a nice blanket? Btw, I don't just need a plaid for ~aesthetic~ reasons, I also need it because the nights here get genuinely cold and ya gurl doesn't wanna freeze to death.

Here's some of the ones I've been eyeing:

(12 & 3)

Re find my blog groove ~ Lately I've been experiencing a bit of writers block or lack of inspiration when it comes to my blog. I've written a lot of great posts lately that I truly loved and striped a lot of those of my blog to-do lists so now I'm kind of left without ideas. It's like every week I'm just scrambling to find a good idea and finish it in time. Don't worry though; I'm not quitting anytime soon and actually am in the process of finding new ideas to get back into the groove and deliver a bunch of new and amazing content :).

Buy something snakeskin ~ Snakeskin has been everywhere lately and has set itself down as one of this season's biggest trends and so ofc I have to jump on the bandwagon. I'm not sure yet what kind of snakeskin print item I'll be adding to my collection, but for now I'm thinking of either boots, a bag, belt or a top, but that might change anytime. Tomorrow I'm going Glamour day shopping after work so maybe I'll come home with something nice :). If so, you'll always be up to date if you follow my IG (@thedutchbloggergirl).

Buy something autumnal from lush ~ Nothing screams autumn more to me than Lush' seasonal range. Even though I don't have a bath I usually purchase the glittery pumpkin bath bomb (this one), which I then keep around for the next time I'm near a tub. Baths are just so relaxing and comfy, which makes them a great seasonal activity for the colder months. (I actually really want the Cinders naked shower gel from the Christmas range as well so defo getting that one, it sounds like it smells of a perfect autumnal scent)

Take pictures at the pumpkin farm ~ Me and my friend Valerie (she usually takes my IG pics!!) have this yearly ritual almost where we take autumnal pics and last year we found out about this super cute pumpkin farm near her house (!!). Anyways, the pictures there ended up amazingly cute and so we've made a deal to go back there as soon as possible for some new ones. Right after this test week ends we're heading there for some hella autumnal IG photos! Keep ya' eyes peeled for those!

Bake an apple pie ~ I've been getting more into baking and cooking lately and so I've set my mind on the fact that I want to bake an (gluten free, ofc) apple pie for the season. If you couldn't tell yet: I just want to live out my autumnal / aesthetic dreams this autumn xd. Also, there's nothing better than warm Dutch apple pie to heat you up when the air outside gets colder. Apple pie used to be one of my faves back when I wasn't diagnosed yet with celiac (aka gluten allergy) and it's actually one of the things I miss the most.

Film a pumpkin spice makeup tutorial ~ While my Youtube definitely ain't my priority I still like to film the occasional video and a pumpkin spice themed get ready with me is just very high on my youtube list! Imagine it: just a cosy vid, nice lo-fi music, orange eyes and lips, a candle burning in the background. I'm already living for it, and so I NEED to film this vid.

Finish "yuru camp" / re watch over the garden wall / re watch "to all the boys I've loved before" ~ 1) I love the "yuru camp" anime for it's relaxing, cosy vibes, yet I've been so bad at consistently watching it lol. I really wanna finish it though, so I think I'll finish it bundled up under my new plaid, with some hot, homemade apple pie.
2 & 3) These are just super autumnal and so I need to re watch them for the season lmao. I recently "discovered" over the garden wall and LOVED it. The animation is gorgeous and the story is super fun. In terms of "To all the boys.."; I just really like Peter Kavinsky, okay? He's so cute.

Host a friendsgiving ~ I'm actually already in the process of doing this but I'm adding it in here anyways because it's such a fun idea in my opinion!
Basically, the whole idea is to gather with a bunch of friends and have everyone bring something home cooked, then chow down together and just have a good time sharing stories and talking. You can involve gifts as well, but we chose to do it more low-key and just keep it with food and friends.

What's on your autumn to do list? Do you have any autumn rituals? If so, I love hearing about it/them! You can always drop a comment telling me about it :).
Anyways, that was it for this week, see ya next week!
