recent beauty faves (may)

~ Not sponsored, but if you're interested in sponsoring a post, hit me up ;) ~

If you follow me on Instagram you might've seen that I've been on a vacation to Sevilla from the end of April up until the beginning of May. I had a great time, and did a lot of shopping, of course, so in this post I'm going to be discussing my recent beauty favorites from this month, which were all holiday purchases.

Let's just dive right into it!

L'oreal true match concealer [1N]
This has been my go-to concealer recently; the shade is perfectly light, the consistency is watery and super blendable and the coverage is light-medium. I love this as a face highlight, mainly because of it's light consistency, it doesn't feel like you're wearing anything! The consistency is a bit too thin for my undereye bags, but when I use 2 layers it's a perfect match.

NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment [Get It On]
This is truly a liquid lipstick that doesn't feel dry! It's matte, but not uncomfortable, and it's extremely pigmented. This shade is a gorgeous warm, everyday nude, that's perfect to just rock on the go. The only downside with this product is the fact that the watery consistency can be prone to leaking. If you're taking this on the go, set it down for a minute before you apply it, cause otherwise the product might explode a bit out of the top, and it does stain. The perfect shade and formula make up for this, though.

NYX #thisiseverything lip oil
I'd been looking for a replacement for my favorite lip oil for a while now, but this one has taken the spot for sure! It's exactly what I was looking for; a glossy and hydrating lip product, with a bunch of nourishing oils, including avocado oil, and a very subtle pink tint. It's super easy to just throw on on the go when you want something simple and natural. <3 <3

L'oreal eye paint [202 Keep on Khaki]
Want a liquid eyeshadow that is blendable and super pigmented? This one's for you. The color is a gorgeous olive green with a bit of a gold reflect, besides that, the shadow doesn't crease and is nice and long-lasting. I found myself often reaching for this to make a 5 minute smokey eye; smudge some in the crease and under the eyes and you're basically done. This color is super stunning, definitely more of a fall tone though, so I'll definitely be reaching for this the most in autumn.

NYX HD blush [Amber]
Lately I've been getting into blush a lot more, which made me realize how little blushes I actually have. And so, I set out to get a new blush, and I found this one at the NYX store in Sevilla! The shade is a lovely muted rose (the pictures don't do it justice), with very earthy and red undertones. The blush is nice and buildable, which is my preference when it comes to blushes, and lasts all day. I've even been using this for a monochrome look; using it on the eyes, cheeks and dabbing it over a lipgloss, for a subtle and effortless look.

Too Faced Hangover Rx primer [Mini]
I'd been eyeing this primer for a while now, and when my parents offered to buy me something small from the Sephora in Sevilla I ran right to this primer. It's a super hydrating primer, which is right up my alley as I prefer a dewier look. I've used this mainly on my undereyes, since that's where I need the most priming action, and it helps incredibly well with making my undereyes not look dry and keeping my concealer on through the day. Besides that, it smells like heavenly, tropical coconut in paradise as well, who could resist? I'm actually already running out of this, so I might need to pick up the full sized version soon.

Swatches of the L'oreal eye paint - NARS liquid lip and NYX blush

Anyways that was it for this post! I hope you guys enjoy these smaller, and more focused posts, 'cause I really enjoy doing these instead of reviewing each product in one post. See ya' next week!

  1. What a lovely post Sabrina! x The Too Faced hangover primer is gorgeous, I love it, but I also recommend trying the Time Balm primer by The Balm - so hydrating and smoothing and I reckon it's slightly cheaper than the Too Faced (forgive me if I'm wrong there doll). Khaki is one of my favourite colours so that L'oreal eye paint has me DROOLING! x

    1. Thank you so much! I'll definitely see if I can get my hands on that primer by The Balm, but they don't sell them in store here so I'll likely have to order it online :(.
