the spring beauty edit + sudden snowfall.

~ Not sponsored, but if you're interested hit me up ~

Spring has finally kinda come (if you ignore the recent snowfall, that is) and with it it brings soft, muted and simple makeup looks. Of course you can do a simple beauty look, whenever you feel like it, but what better time for that is is there than spring?

I promise I won't go all soft and squishy about spring being all about new things and the birth of fresh beginnings or whatever, but it is true, no matter how cliché and overused it may sound. So what better time than now for a soft and simple beauty look, to celebrate new beginnings and all that jazz.

In this post I'm going to share a few of my favourite beauty products that I've been loving lately to get  that fresh, glowy and soft look.

🌸 I've been digging glosses lately, especially pink sparkly ones. They're so pretty and can be both casual and more dramatic,  making them super versatile. My absolute fave at the moment is Colourpop's Cabana boy. This is a gorgeous pinkish / rose shade with gold and champagne glitters. I love to put a little bit on and dab it out, so it's more of a subtle tinted glitter look.

Other faves include the fenty beauty gloss bomb (this is a more natural, nude option, with a very subtle hint of glitter) and the catrice prisma lip glaze in dazzled starboy (which is a more out-there, duochrome gloss with a gorgeous gold to pink shift). Lipglosses really don't get mentioned enough, they're so versatile!

❄️ Another thing that doesn't really get mentioned enough is lipliners. They're amazing. This creamy one from Essence unfortunately isn't available anymore, but their new lipliners are just as creamy and amazing. This one in the shade brick dust is one of my all-time faves, it's a subtle reddish pink colour.

🌸 You didn't think I'd make a post without mentioning my ever so beloved Mario Badescu rosewater spray, right? I still love this so much, that I got an XXL bottle when I was in London. This stuff doesn't only smell like actual heaven (fresh rosewater is a super floral and fresh scent for spring) but is also super good for your skin! Loveeeee.

❄️ I'm always in for a good glow, and this Laura geller baked gelato swirl in the shade Gilded Honey is the most beautiful, blinding highlight ever. I'm absolutely in love with this product! I can't even imagine how pretty this is going to be with a bit of summer tan.

🌸 While we're still talking about glow, I have to mention the Laura Mercier illuminating tinted moisturizer. It's lightweight foundation, has a light to medium (almost skin-tint like) finish and gives a great glow. It's one of my faves for when I'm not in the mood for a full face, but I could use some subtle skin help. This is already turning into one of my holy grails, because it just makes my skin look amazing!

❄️ Our last product is the Nip n fab contour palette in light. This is a super simple, affordable contour palette that gives a lot of great options for both contouring and highlighting. I've been using the yellowish powder to set any "problem" areas, and have been using the lightest bronzer to give my face a slight sculpt. The powders are well-pigmented, yet build able, so you won't make any mistakes soon.

Now let's talk a bit about the recent snowfall. Where I live in the Netherlands we didn't really get any snow last December, so I was pretty happy with the recent snowfall. It did melt quite quickly, but it was fun while it lasted. I just wanted to paste in the snow into this post so I could show you some of my pics, so here are they :). It's giving me mayor Christmas vibes rn xd.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you next week!
